First of all, I myself couldn’t believe I just attended 2012 BIG SHOW Day 1. All of these experiences felt surreal for me >.<  But seeing my crown light stick beside me now… I’m not dreaming at all~~

Today is such a long day. I have to queue for merchandises from early morning and Seoul’s weather isn’t friendly at all. Winter is still here and it was raining all morning. Lucky, the rain stopped in the afternoon and quite sunny after that.

My seat is on 2nd floor and I consider myself lucky, since this year’s ticket war is worse than last year. I entered the concert hall at 7 pm, and the staff played Big Bang MVs on the screen. Love Song, High High, What Can I Do, Turn It Up, Knock Out, Tonight, Blue and Bad Boy MVs… don’t worry, you didn’t miss anything new.

At 8 pm the concert started. I like their opening concept, our boys are refugees of some apocalypse from far far away planet and they came to earth inside icy tubes (imagine avatar). So our 1st day setlist begins:

1. Intro - Alive » they come out from icy capsule tubes, pretty cool eh?

2. Tonight » no guitar smashing this time :D

4. Fantastic Baby » really nice choreography, my favorite among new songs’ choreo ^^ BOOM SHAKALAKA BOOM SHAKALAKA

5. How Gee » GD&TOP on their fancy segways LOL, YB rides a bike

*2nd speech » only YB, Dae and Seungri; maknaes doing hip dances LOL

7. GD&TOP - Knock Out » they come out without segway, but their entrance stage is built on colorful plastic speakers (idk how to explain that stage :/), GD wears his emperor hat LOL.. the backdancers were doing lion dances

8. GD&TOP - High High » no usual GD&TOP games, in the end of the song they put Korean flag (maybe smt to do with Mar 1 ?)

9. Strong Baby (Seungri solo) » new concept performance, Seungri as Rambo with gun and laser firing the audiences LOL

10. What Can I Do (Seungri solo) » THEY DO THE SHUFFLING DANCES LMAOOO

11. Gara Gara Go » YB wears his sparkly skeleton pants from his concept pics

*3rd speech » I see some nyongtory moments here kkk~~ GD seems so happy and grateful to his fans. TOP said smt about his new hairstyles and I heard smt about mint chocolate ice cream (?) (lol don’t believe me coz I have a very limited korean vocabs)

13. Cafe » new concept performance (all members with standing microphones), and I just realized YB’s got a tattoo on his right ribs, cross-shaped one >.<

14. Bad Boy » I like this perf better than the MV.. same song but different feel, the boys convey their emotions really well in this perf, esp TOP (maybe he wrote his lyrics from his own personal experience) sobs T~T

15. Blue » on the contrary, I like the MV better. The song arrangement doesn’t fit well with the song. TOP’s rap here OMGGG rly touch my heart <3 and Seungri’s voice asdfhgkfsha~~ our baby maknae has grown a lot :’)

16. Ain’t no Fun » different arrangement again. I like the concept performance, Jihye is really pretty ^^

Notes :

* They didn’t say their usual greeting (annyeong haseyo, we’re Big Bang!)

* TOP’s and Dae’s hair LOOKS REALLY GOOD IN PERSON, better than their concept pics ^^

* GD dyed his extension hair bright red

* GD looks happy and grateful to his fans ^^

* YB’s got new tattoo on his right ribs, cross-shaped one

* GD’s got 2 new tattoos, each on his right (some kind of snake-like symbol) and left ribs (a sentence)

* There are teletext screens in front of the stage LOL (so the boys won’t forget their lyrics lmao)

* 1st day perf always been trial & error perf. Big bang band is quite good but somehow I think it’s not their usual music style. They still need to build more chemistry, let’s hope they could manage in 2 days time for the sake of our DVD recording lol~~

* I felt some sound systems trouble in the middle of the show

* A girl who sit next to me got kicked out of the show for taking fancams… so pls iVIPs, give our kVIPs friends proper credit and respect their wishes for not editing their fantaken pics ^^

P.S. As a VIP I strongly recommend all of u to watch Big Bang live performance if u can, at least once in your life time… their performance is so awesome and u won’t regret it ^^

Updated with some more details:

* GD is so charismatic on stage, my eyes always attracted to him even though my bias is TOP <3

* When they sing Blue, GD is so emotional. TOP is also so emotional during Bad Boy

* There are some off beat moment in the middle of some songs. Maybe because sound systems failure or they’re not used to the new band :/

* TOP doesn’t move around much >.< but he’s doing his best on Fantastic Baby choreo xD

* Less interactions with fans compared with last year BS » our fan service king, Seungri, goes down from stage to the end of standing area, very near to first row of second floor, but that’s it and only once >_<

* Less spectacular stage too. They don’t have crown shaped stage, revolving stage, flying piano, flying bike etc. GD&TOP come out on moving stage for Knock Out, built like plastic speaker just like in the MV (sorry, couldn’t explain more)

* YB get naked twice kkk~ all YB stans die xD

* Transitions between every song are seamless and neat. I like how they go in and out from different spots. Like in Love Song, TOP is alone at the beginning… HE LOOKS SO FUCKIN GORGEOUS WITH MILITARY JACKET AND MINT GREEN HAIR… I almost faint >_< (at first I thought he will do some solo stage lol)

* kVIPs are giving out card, telling us what to chant for encore. For 1st day is “saranghae” and 2nd day is “thank u” (if I’m not mistaken, I drop my card >.<)

MY IMPRESSIONS :

Big Bang is trying so hard doing new concept for this year Big Show. I don’t mind with the new concept but what make me disappointed is they decrease interaction time with fans (no parodies, no moving around to 2nd or 3rd floor). And about the new band, they make Big Bang music more westernish and mainstream, which I don’t really like (I like Big Bang original music better), and like I said before, the boys seem not very comfortable with the band, yet.
